96 year old Indian granny writes exam and surprises everyone!

Age is just a number. This 96 year old granny from Kerala’s Azhapuzha has written her first ever test in life and guess what she has scored full marks in the reading section. Karthyayini Amma belongs to the district literacy mission.

She was writing the 4th standard equivalency course under the Kerala Literacy Mission’s Aksharalaksham scheme. “There were 45 students who wrote the exam, and she was the oldest in the hall. The exam had three sections — 30 marks for reading, 40 for written Malayalam and 30 marks for maths. Amma scored full marks, 30 on 30, in the reading section,” the coordinator said.

Karthyayini Amma is expecting the results to be positive and she also states that she is unhappy that all the questions she studied did not come in the question paper. Karthyayini Amma was trained in math and Malayalam for over a period of sic months to take the exam.
