Who is going to replace Trisha in 96 Telugu remake?

Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha's 96, released on October 4, ended up being one of the massive hits of the year and received positive reviews mostly. Its Telugu remake is officially confirmed, with ace producer Dil Raja procuring the remake rights.

Ever since the announcement of the remake, speculations have been going around on the subject of the lead pair of the movie. Names of Tollywood’s top actors Nani, Rana Daggubati, and Sharwanand have been doing the rounds for Vijay Sethupathi’s character, while the producer is apparently keen on casting Gopichand as the male lead. It is also being speculated that Trisha might play the female lead in the remake as well, though nothing is officially confirmed yet.

A formal announcement on the lead pair is expected to be out soon.
