Actor Vijay who has just scored a super success at the box office with his Diwali release Bigil directed by Atlee, will be seen next in his 64th movie which will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who also had a release this Diwali with the Karthi starrer Kaithi which has been received well.

While Thalapathy 64 was launched earlier this month with Vijay Sethupathi playing the villain and Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, it was also announced officially that Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and Malayalam actor Antony Varghese are part of the cast.

Recently it was revealed that Vijay plays a college professor and Andrea Jeremiah will be seen as his colleague, and the latest speculation making rounds is that Gouri Kishan who played the younger version of Trisha in 96 will be playing a college student in Thalapathy 64. An official clarification is awaited on this speculation.
