A 60-year-old man shot by a businessman over a property dispute passed away at the Rajaji Government Hospital in Madurai. Subramani sustained injuries to his stomach and was fighting for life after being shifted to Government Rajaji Hospital from the Dindigul Government Hospital.
While doctors successfully removed the bullets from Subramani’s body, his condition weakened and his intestines and the blood vessels near stomach were damaged and he passed away at Madurai Government Hospital. Now the police have altered the sections and have filed case against Natarajan under IPC Section 300 (murder).
The incident happened on Monday when 80-year-old Natarajan, who owns Valluvar Theatre in Palani, shot at Subramani and Palanisamy using a licensed revolver due to a property dispute. Reportedly, Natarajan encroached a land owned by Ilangovan, and he had approached the court which gave verdict in favour of Ilangovan. However Natarajan appealed against the verdict, and when Ilangovan and his two relatives Subramani and Palanisamy tried to clear the land, an angry Natarajan came and shot at Subramani and Palanisamy while Ilangovan escaped. Subramani has passed away and Palanisamy is undergoing treatment.
