Hanifa Zara is all of 7.  The girl from a Chennai suburb is in the news for an atypical reason.  The other day, Hanifa shocked her father by approaching the police with a curious complaint.

"My dad promised that he will build a toilet at our house if I top the exams.  He has not kept his promise for two years now.  I feel ashamed that I have to defecate in the open," the girl complained, showing the police her medals and certificates.

She reportedly told the police that her father's failure to honour the promise made when she was in LKG amounts to "cheating".

Hanifa's father was initially shocked when he got a call from the police station.  Upon reaching the station, he was nervous to see his child and wife sitting there.  After he was told about the complaint, he felt proud of his daughter.
