73 Indians arrested in Sri Lanka

Seventy three Indians in Colombo have been arrested by the Sri Lankan authorities after they violated certain visa regulations this year.
The immigration and emigration department officials reported that 49 Indians were arrested in a factory near Matugama on Saturday, while the remaining 24 were already arrested arrested last month as they stayed in the country beyond their visa term.
The accused individuals have reportedly been sent to the immigration detention centre in Mirihana of Colombo where they will complete the necessary formalities, following which they will be deported back to India.
