Ahead of the US Presidential elections on November 3, Joe Biden is said to be ahead of the incumbent Donald Trump by nearly all polls. Poll after poll has said that the Democratic candidate is going to be the next Potus. And now, it has been found that Indian Americans, who constitute less than 1% of registered voters, too, are in favour of Biden in an overwhelming way.
In a survey where respondents were Indian Americans, it has been found that that nearly three-quarters of them are in favour of Biden. The survey says that Indian Americans believe that the US is headed in the wrong direction under Trump.
As many as 72% of registered Indian American voters supported Biden. As for Trump, he got only 22% support. The survey said that Indian Americans perceive the Republican party to be anti-minority as well as heavily influenced by Christian evangelical groups.
This comes amid claims made by sections of the Republican leadership that Indian Americans have been drifting towards Trump of late. The minority has been traditionally pro-Dem.
