7 vehicles collide in a major road mishap

At least three people were killed and three seriously injured, in a tragic road accident after 7 vehicles collided on the national highway at Kuthiran in Kerala. The incident happened on Thursday early morning at 6.45 am as a truck hit several vehicles on the highway.
It is reported that the goods lorry that was coming from Tamil Nadu lost control as its brake was damaged and rammed into other vehicles resulting in a major mishap. The lorry first hit two cars and bikes, that rammed into other vehicles that were going in front. Two on a scooter and a passenger of the car were those killed.
The injured were shifted to hospitals. Following the mishap, Traffic through the national highway was severely hit on the national highway. The accident has sent shockwaves across the state.
As Kuthiran is a hilly area, roads carved through the hills are narrow. Due to this, there are frequent accidents in the area.
