The US is soon going to roll out new 5G wireless services in airports. The decision has sparked safety concerns across the world. Before the airline industry gets thrown out of the gear, a number of world-famous airlines have cancelled flights to the US. In other instances, they have done rescheduling flights to several US cities.
Air India, the other day, reportedly said that flights to the US will be curtailed or revised soon. For the past two days, the flight schedules have been affected. As per an NDTV report, Dubai's Emirates Airline, Japan Airlines Co. and ANA Holdings Inc. have also taken note of the developments in the airline industry.
In view of the concerns raised against the rollout by telecom operators in the US (mainly AT&T and Verizon), there is an assurance that the rollout will be postponed. However, this has not stopped several flights to the US from being cancelled across the world.
On Thursday, however, there emerged an indication that things are getting back to normal. Air India tweeted, "Flight operations to/from destinations in USA were affected during last two days. We would like to inform our passengers traveling to/from destinations in the USA that effective 0001hrs of 21st January 2022 normal flights operations will recommence to/from USA."
