Indian Cinema's complete actor Mohanlal, who has been entertaining movie buffs for the past four decades, turned 60 on Thursday. As the actor celebrates his 60th birthday amid lockdown, wishes have been pouring in for the actor from all corners.

As a part of celebrating the birthday of their favorite icon, over 500 Mohanlal fans of Thiruvananthapuram District Mohanlal Fans Association gave their consent for donating their organs to the state-run 'Mrithasanjivini' programme. As you know, Mohanlal is the ambassador of Mrithasanjivini.

Appreciating the noble act of the Mohanlal fans, State Health Minister K.K.Shailaja said, "He ( Lal) has always been part and parcel of our department. In 2017 when there was a spread of diphtheria, he came forward and acted in a short campaign film on why the vaccines should be taken. He is our brand ambassador of Mrithasanjivini' programme and this act of the fans of his is worth appreciating."
