In just about two weeks on the 21st of February, Kamal Haasan would be announcing his political party name and travelling across Tamil Nadu to speak to the people to ascertain their problems.  As a trailer his fan club members numbering 500 have already started a cleanup operation.

The Kamal Haasan Narpani Iyakkam members of Chennai and Thiruvallur joined hands and started a cleanup operation at the Besant Nagar Beach.  Apart from ridding the sands of garbage thrown by the visitors they also created awareness to them how their acts jeopardize the sea creatures like tortoise and other beings.  The residents of Besant Nagar and the public joined Kamal fans and showed solidarity to the social work.   Speaking to newsmen a spokesperson said that today the cleanup that has started on the beach would lead to the "Kottai" (the Secretariat).
