The biggest fear of a filmmaker is to get his movie clear from the censor board, getting that one certificate from the Indian censor board is like is a hard nut to crack. Sadly not all directors and producers get the chance to clear all obstacles from censor board and get that one certificate. Somewhere is it not the director's or the producer's fault as audiences have raised their bar when it comes to cinema, on the other hand, we also have audiences who will object to such content on the big screen. There are several movies who fought this difficult battle against the censor board and got its release date. We have few recent ones listed below, let's have a look.
NH10: This Anushka Sharma starrer was with censor board as the content as per them was too harsh to be shown to the adult audiences too. Well, after all, the disappointments finally was a time where it got a release date and was loved by the audience.
Bombay Velvet: This Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer was not allowed to release and was asked to cut words like "son of a bitch" and much more and the board was not even ready a U/A certificate. But after the allegations, it got a final release date and got amazing reviews.
Udta Punjab: The film was in news recently for its issues with censor board but after all the struggle it released and had a very good response too. It has also been nominated for many awards categories.
Haraamkhor: This Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer has also been facing a lot of obligations because of its name, poster, and content. Despite audience demanding for such good quality movies censor board acts like a barrier to it. Even after every objection, the film fought and is now soon going to have its release in India after been premiered abroad in many festivals.
31st October: This film was stuck in censor again for its content being true and showing the reality of the situation. It was not given a go ahead because political issues connected to the movie, but after all the push it had its release.
