Shocking! 44 kids sexually harassed in Chennai orphanage

Just a few days back, the city was put in a state of shock after the rape of a 11 year old girl in an appartment complex came to light. Now, an orphange in Chennai has come under the investigation of the police for having sexually harassed 40 children.
The students were found to be between the ages of 4 and 15. The incident came to light after two city magistrate were invited to an orphanage in Thirumullavoyal to conduct a legal awareness program. During the event, a few children came forward to complain about the harassment they are facing and police took immediate action.
24 girls and 20 boys have been shifted out of the orphanage home following this. It was also found that the home was operating without a proper license. Jacob Samuel who is 64 years old and running the place was arrested by the police in addition to four other people.
All the arrested have been booked under the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences act for aggravated penetrative sexual assault and abetment as well.
