It is the 4000th mark for Kannada filmdom on last April 6 2018. Starting from first talkie film ‘Sathi Sulochana’ in 1934 the 4000th mark has come in 84 years and one month! The film that fits in to the 4000th slot is Kannada cinema ‘Ideega Banda Suddi’.

The 1000th film in 1985 according to history book released (Amritha Chitra by KFCC) at the time of 75 years of Kannada cinema is ‘Devarelliddane’ of Dr Ambarish, Kalyankumar, Geetha in V Somashekhar direction by producer Smt Gowramma.

Interestingly in the year 2000 the 2000th film is ‘Hats of India’ by Vishwapriya Films, G Nandakumar and V Jagannath are producers in R Raghunath direction starred BC Patil, Sadhu Shetty, Ganesh, Ashita and others.

In the year 2011, 3000th film released was rocking star Yash and Oviya starring ‘Kiraataka’ in the direction of Pradeep Raj. Shravan Kumar and Shanthakumari are producers of this remake film.

For reach of 1000 films it took 51 years for Kannada cinema industry, for reach of another one thousand it was just 15 years, from 2000 to 3000 it was just 11 years but the super fast is the next 1000 Kannada films in just seven years of time.

What a mammoth growth of Kannada cinema industry to reach from 3000 to 4000 mark in just seven years.
