Manoj Kumar Singh, a well-known advocate who is the Executive Chairman of Delhi Bar Council, is in trouble. The Income Tax department has raided 38 sites linked to the Commercial arbitration advocate. The sites are in Delhi and Haryana.

Going into details, something like Rs 3.5 Cr cash was recovered during the raids. Reports say that ten lockers have been kept under observation by the IT sleuths.

The advocate, the IT department believes, received as much as Rs 117 Cr from a client for commercial arbitration. He allegedly showed only Rs 21 Cr as his income in records. Another Rs 100 Cr is alleged to have been received by him in yet another arbitration deal.

The IT investigation only goes to show that corruption in the justice system is deep and rotten.
