'31st October' receives standing ovation at the London Indian Film Festival

Writer-producer Harry Sachdeva`s '31st October' starring Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das, screened at the prestigious Picture House Central received standing ovation at the London Indian Film Festival.
The team of '31st October' was in London including Vir Das, Harry Sachdeva and director Shivaji Lotan Patil, all of whom feel elated at the response the film received.
The Vir Das-Soha Ali Khan starrer '31st October' is the first mainstream film set on the backdrop of 1984, based on a true life story of a Sikh family stuck in Delhi on the day of '31st October', the day Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated, is an official selection for the screening at the London Indian Film Festival.
After the overwhelming response the film received in London, Vir commented, "The experience was great. During my interactions with the people at the festival, I informed them that I`m not normally a person you will see at film festivals because of the kind of films I do but 31st October being my first drama needs to be showcased at a platform like London Indian Film Festival. The movie is a simple story of a family set at the backdrop of a big day in history. It`s a simple story about how you try to save your family and do everything required to save them.
Produced by Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd and Harry Sachdeva and directed by Shivaji Lotan Patil, '31st October' stars Soha Ali Khan and Vir Das in the lead roles along with Dayashankar Pandey, Vineet Sharma, Deep Raj Rana, Raj Saluja, Nagesh Bhosle and Sezal Sharma.
