The first poster of Harry Sachdeva and Magical Dreams Productions Pvt Ltd`s '31st October' is out. Directed by the National award winning filmmaker Shivaji Lotan Patil and starring Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan, the first poster sees Vir sporting a beard look.
For the role, Vir grew and maintained his beard and also sports a turban so that he fits well in the role of a Sikh. He learnt Punjabi and read about the Sikh culture. The actor had also gained about 8 kgs. He has a very different look in the film which has never been seen before.
Vir Das says, "Devender is a simple man from Tilak Nagar (Delhi). It took a lot of work to get the look and role right. I put on weight to look like a healthy Delhi Punjabi, grew a beard for many months and took Punjabi diction classes for months. This isn`t the kind of film you would normally see me in. The response at festivals across the world has been amazing."
