Rajinikanth's comeback film Chandramukhi completed 300 days at a couple of theatres in Chennai on Tuesday.

It's been a long time since a Tamil movie had seen 300 days run.

The movie, a remake of Malayalam hit Manichitrathazhu, featured Prabhu, Jyothika, Nayantra, Vadivelu besides Rajinikanth.

Chandramukhi had created several records including completing 100 days in over 156 theatres, a 200 day run in more than a dozen theatres. Now it seems to be going strong and steady entering the 301st day. The Telugu dubbing version of Chandramukhi collected huge revenue last year.

Produced by Sivaji Films and directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi will be a movie to cherish with in Indian film industry.

The movie is all set for a Hindi remake with Amitabh Bachchan playing the lead role and directed by P Vasu again.
