The Kannada film front has received three awards at the 65th National awards announced on Friday evening. Hebbat Ramakka and Paddayi Tulu film are regional best and JM Prahallad gets the national crown for lyrics for ‘March 22’ Kannada cinema.
Producer S A Puttaraju ‘Hebbat Ramakka’ by NR Nanjunde Gowda directed is best regional Kannada film in which BJP MLC Thara Anuradha plays title role with dynamic star Devaraj. ‘Hebbat Ramakka’ is a film on woman empowerment.
JM Prahallad got best lyricist award for his song Muthu Rathna…in ‘March 22’ of Harish Sherigar production in Kodlu Ramakrishna direction. The Tulu film ‘Paddayi’ by Abhay Simha has got another best regional award in the 65th national awards.
P Seshadri well known director and series of national, international and state award winning film director was one of the members of the 65th National award committee.
