Two remakes and one original are contesting in the box office this week. Agraja inspired from ‘Broker’ Telugu film, ‘Kwatle Satisa’ is based on Tamil film ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kanom' and ‘Aathma Saakshi’ is based on a short story.

There are some newcomers from the three films of this week. From Agraja it is director Srinandan, producer T Goverdhan, actress Poornima, in ‘Aathma Saakshi’ it is Manu holding responsibilities of production, direction and acting for the first time.

‘Agraja’ a big venture film is on the current socio political developments. Senior actor Jaggesh has taken up the tough role of his career and hard hitting dialogues are main focus of this film. Jaggesh feels this is one of the big films of his career. Challenging star Darshan plays IAS officer in this film.

'KWATLE SATISA' – second in a row for director Mahesh Rao. Last week his remake film ‘Engeyum Eppothum’ in Kannada ‘Endendu Ninagaagi’ was released to lukewarm response and this week it is remake of Tamil ‘Naduvula Konjam Pakkathai Kanom' (NKPK). Mahesh Rao has made some drastic changes to this Tamil original and it is adjusted to suit the image of actor Ninasam Satish of ‘Lucia’ fame. Dr Soori is producer with Jayanna Combines support. Pawan Wadeyar has written the dialogues for the film.

Another debutant Manu – producer, director and actor speaking from his heart this week – confession is the topic of this film. The big draw for this film is Shwetha Srivatsa popular heroine of ‘Simple Ag Ondh Love Story’. It was before this film Shwetha acted in it. This is based on the novelist Na D Souza ‘Paapa Nevedhane’.

Manu N from cinematography field with NFDS, NSD and Anupam Kher Acting School training has taken up this unusual subject. It is releasing only in one theatre Menaka in Bangalore.
