Members of the political fraternity and the public are in eager anticipation for the polls in R.K.Nagar constituency on December 21. Surprisingly, another important decision will be taken in a crucial case which shocked the entire nation.

A special court announced that the final judgement and verdict pertaining to the 2G spectrum allocation scam will be given on December 21, which is the same date on which by-polls will be conducted for R.K.Nagar. Thus this day becomes not only crucial for all political parties in the state owing to polls, but also of greater significance to DMK as it might dictate the party’s political future.

Former Telecom Minister A Raja and DMK’s parliament member Kanimozhi are the key accused in the case including three major telecom firms as well namely Swan Telecom Pvt Ltd, Reliance Telecom Ltd and Unitech Wireless Ltd.
