Indian prime minister Narendra Modi, who had announced the 21 days lockdown to ensure breaking the chain of Coronavirus infection has now constituted a relief fund for corona relief.
Narendra Modi had tweeted "People from all walks of life expressed their desire to donate to India’s war against COVID-19. Respecting that spirit, the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund has been constituted. This will go a long way in creating a healthier India.It is my appeal to my fellow Indians, Kindly contribute to the PM-CARES Fund. This Fund will also cater to similar distressing situations, if they occur in the times ahead. This link has all important details about the fund".
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who has also acted as the antagonist in superstar Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 immediate tweeted that he's contributing 25 crores, for PM cares. Akshay Kumar tweeted "This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai. ????"
