Suriya's stardom in AP, Telangana at all-time high

The audio of Suriya's '24' was released in Chennai yesterday morning and the Telugu version of the same music album was released in in a separate event in Hyderabad, in the evening. What is noteworthy about the event is that Suriya received constant round of applause from the many fans who came there to catch a glimpse of their favourite actor. Despite the function having been held on a weekday, the auditorium was fully packed.
Without doubt, Suriya has the status of a star hero even in the Telugu States. The fans eagerly waited for the handsome actor to speak. This was the case even though someone like AR Rahman, the film's music composer was also present. Like it happens in the case of top Telugu stars, in one instance, the audience tried to interrupt by shouting the name of Suriya when host Suma was talking.
Akkineni Akhil, who is the son of a superstar, praised Suriya without any ego! "When I watched 'Gajini', I felt that an actor should be like Suriya. I want to learn from him how one can look differently in different get-ups every time. Suriya garu, teach me when I come to meet you next time," Akhil said.
As is known, Telugu producers have been seen to be vying for acquiring the rights of his movies. No longer is it the case that Tamil producers are releasing the Telugu version. For example, '24' has been acquired by Sresht Movies for a fancy rate after competing with several other production houses. This proves that Suriya has a big market in AP and Telangana.
Post '24', his BO stamina is only bound to increase.
