The announcement of reopening of movie theaters in the state of Maharashtra was nothing short of a festival for the film industry. Soon after the announcement, filmmakers hastily announced the release dates for their long awaited projects. Since a lot of releases were announced and all the producers wanted to grab most favourable time slots for their films, some clashes were bound to happen.

According to all the recent announcements, several promising film are going to clash on box office on ocassions like Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day and more. Shahid Kapoor's sports drama 'Jersey' and Ranveer Singh starrer Rohit Shetty film 'Cirkus' are going to release on the same day i.e, 31st of December. On the other hand, Aamir Khan's long awaited film 'Lal Singh Chadda' will face competition from John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor starrer 'Ek Villain Returns' on the Valentine's Day slot.

April 14, 2022 will also see a box office battle as Varun Dhawan's horror comedy flick 'Bhediya' and long awaited film 'KGF: Chapter 2' are releasing on this day. Om Raut's mega project 'Adipurush' will go against Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' on 11th of August 2022.

There are some other clashes with regional and Hollywood releases which are going to affect the business of Hindi films in 2022.
