Starting today, we will have write-ups about how the Telugu industry did in 2007. It was a fairly good year with major films doing well. Then, there were surprise hits like Happy Days and Mantra. All in all, it was a year that the industry would remember happily. We have had trendsetters and luckily no major upsets.

Desamuduru created a sensation of sorts by having hit music. Allu Arjun started off the year with a bang. The USP of the film was of course Allu Arjun who had a new hairstyle and that had the girls going for repeat shows.

It was a good and promising start for Puri Jagannath as it really did well with the masses. Despite the unbelievable storyline and lots of action, the film did well and Arjun was all smiles. Though it is his only release this year, it was enough to keep him among the frontrunners in the industry.

Then of course, there was Yogi. Though the film did not do particularly well, the title song created a rage and was sung by the adults and children alike.

Surprisingly, it was the only release for Sankranti.

However, it was an average grosser and Prabhas himself said that the film did not meet his expectations though it did well in some areas.

Then, there were six dubbed films:

Egypt Mummy, Gurukant, Vishasarpam, Akrosam, Andala Hantaki, Veta Kanyalu
