A Hyderabadi has got a rare title. Neelakanta Bhanu Prakash, a 20-year-old Mathematics graduate, has been declared the fastest human calculator in the world. He recently participated in the Mental Calculation World Championship at the Mind Sports Olympiad held in London (held virtually) and won the title with ease.

Prakash has graduated in Mathematics from Delhi's St Stephen’s College. He heads a start-up that is in collaboration with the Government of Telangana. The start-up, named Exploring Infinities, has been preparing maths content for children.

The 20-year-old is the first one to win the coveted title of the fastest human computer. Speaking to a daily, he said that Maths should be treated as a sport and an art, not science.
