The '2.0' trailer that we have all been waiting for almost three years is here and Shankar, as usual, has us stumped with his awesome imagination and technical wizardry that is no less stunning than Hollywood big buck vehicles. The 1 minute 59 second contains the ominous warning mouthed by Akshay Kumar's antagonist that "Every cellphone user is a murderer", a real life disaster in the making as the atmosphere is polluted by air waves.
Rajini as '2.0' the rebooted version of Chitti to counter the villain is as usual stylish with a touch of naughtiness as Amy Jackson's character is magnetically whisked into his hands. The set pieces and the computer graphics are mind blowing with the giant bird and the giant versions of Rajini and Akshay taking the cake.
We get solid glimpses of T. Muthuraj's grand production design, Nirav Shah's difficult shots and Anthony's deft editing along with V. Srinivas Mohan's splendid graphics work. The entire trailer is enhanced by A.R. Rahman's futuristic background score.
All in all director Shankar has upped the ante in '2.0' and has surely propelled the expectation meter to dizzying heights making the wait for November 29th with bated breaths.
