The much-delayed '2.0' is in the news for striking a "momentous deal" with Amazon Prime Video.
The news is that Amazon has laid its hands on Lyca Productions's prestigious product by acquiring its "exclusive streaming rights" on the digital platform in all the languages, mainly Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
The amount for which the rights have been bought hasn't been revealed.
With December coming, the makers haven't yet revealed the release date. The magnum opus could most probably release on April 13. The dealy is due to post-production works, which are learned to be taking place in 11 countries.
Starring Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in key roles, the Shankar-directed movie is the next big thing after 'Baahubali-2'.
