Superstar Rajinikanth's '2.0', directed by Shankar, is a much-anticipated movie which will release amid huge expectations. With the industry's leading names working in the movie, '2.0' will be a world-class film crafted with the highest technical finesse.

While the songs for the '2.0' have been scored by none other than A.R.Rahman, the sound director of the movie is Resul Pookutty. The academy award winning sound director has begun his sound recording for the sci-fi drama this morning.

Resul posted his pictures with his team and equipment scouting through a plush grass field. It would be interesting to see his work in the film post its release as Resul was earlier quoted saying that he would be trying a different sound format especially modified for '2.0'.

Shankar's '2.0' is slated to hit the screens on January 25.
