'2.0': Run-time revealed, a record clinched!

The run-time of '2.0' is a mere 140 minutes. For a magnum opus that has been made at a cost of more than Rs. 400 Cr, this is way too surprising.
Usually, it's believed that films with a lot of dramatic heft and substance invariably cross the 150- or even 160-minute mark. Most of Shankar's films are long-running ones. The likes of 'Baahubali' and 'Srimanthudu' are also important examples. The 140-minute limit seems to have been done keeping in mind the film's 3D format self.
Speaking at the audio launch of the film in Dubai on Friday, cinematographer Nirav Shah said, "One must watch '2.0' at least thrice sitting in different rows to witness the precise 3D experience."
Two of the film's three songs were released yesterday. In just about 12 hours, the album clocked one million streams (all platforms, except YouTube, put together).
Also starring Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, the film releases on Jan 25.
