'2.0': Rs. 20 CR locked up, unfortunately

It was reported last year that 2.0's Telugu version's theatrical rights were owned by an individual for Rs. 80 crores. He will have the rights to further sell the Shankar-Rajinikanth magnum opus to distributors in the Telugu States.
The individual in question is Sunil. He sealed the contract for Rs. 80 crores in the hope that the film will hit the screens in January or Summer 2018. It didn't happen. The mega entertainer will be hitting the screens only in 2019.
Reportedly, Sunil had paid an advance of Rs. 20 crores to earn the rights. He is now beseeching Lyca Productions to either return the advance (as the huge sum has been locked up unproductively for too long) or reward him suitably in some other way.
Meanwhile, 'Kaala' has proved to be a box-office disgrace in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
