Director Shankar's amazing expression of support for Jallikattu protests

The Marina is witnessing lakhs and lakhs of Tamil people gathering to join the protest for the conduct of ancient Tamil sport Jallikattu which has been banned by Supreme Court.

The protest started with a few thousands of youngsters on Tuesday (January 17) has now swelled into lakhs. As per news reports there were as many as 15 lakh people were protesting for Jallikattu in Marina on Friday (January 20).

Top celebrities from Tamil film industry as well as other walks of life are taking part in the protest of commoners to express solidarity for the rightful demands of the people.

Actors Suriya, Sivakarhtikeyan, Vijay Sethupathi, Raghava Lawrence, RJ Balaji. Lakshmy Ramakrishnan. Sripriya and many others have visited the protest site in Chennai. They participated in the protest as a member of the Tamil community and not as film stars,

On Friday night top league star Ilayathalapathy Vijay came to the protest venue and sat with the protesters for few hours.

Now director Shankar has also confirmed that he visited Marina to take part int he people's protest for Jallikattu
