Indians across the globe are in a jubilant mood thanks to the sudden and surprising announcement of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demonetizing the currencies of high denomination such as Rs.500 and Rs.1000. There are certain hardships relating to cash transactions which will continue for the next few days. But predominant number of people are ready to tolerate this for the welfare of the nation. The all pervasive belief is that this historical step by the strong willed PM will go a long way in curbing he black money menace which has been thwarting the nation's development.

Film industry veterans ranging from Superstar Rajinikanth, Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, Captain Vijayakanth, actors Dhanush, Siddharth, Trisha, RJ Balaji, Nivetha Pethuraj Music director Anirudh, Santhosh Narayanan and many others have hailed the PM for the historical move which is being termed as the "Surgical strike on Black Money'.

Now nationally acclaimed director Shankar whose films are mostly centered on social issues such as corruption. tax evasion and black money has called Modi's announcement as a 'Dream come true moment' in his Twitter page.

It is worth noting that his 2007 Rajinikanth starrer blockbuster 'Sivaji' suggested the scrapping of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes as a measure to curb black money and to make India a Super Power by 2020. That's what has just started now...!!!
