Prolific writer Jeyamohan is currently busy penning dialogues for many films in Tamil and Malayalam. He has written the dialogues for the mega budget sci-fi flick '2.0' directed by Shankar with Superstar Rajinikanth. Jeyamohan also keeps writing lengthy blog posts in his official blog page and his page is one of the widely read bloggers in Tamil.
Jeyamohan has shared his experience of trying to book tickets for watching 'Baahubali 2' in a theatre in his hometown Nagercoil which is a deep south district in Tamil Nadu. His blog post proves that 'Baahubali 2' is receiving fantastic response from people across Tamil Nadu and all the shows are getting filled which is a rare case in Tamil cinema in recent times as observed by the writer.
Jeyamohan said, when he went to the theatre to book tickets for the film, there was a very long crowd daring the scorching sun. He could not get the ticket as he could not stand for long time under the heat and had to return home, postponing his plan to watch the film in next or the next to next weekend.
The writer observed that no other film has drawn this many number of people to theaters in recent times in Nagercoil. He said normally any show of Tamil films would run with just a handful of audience. On the other hand, for 'Baahubali 2' even those who have watched the film in pirated DVDs and through pirated versions available online have come to the theatres to enjoy the grand visual experience.
He went on to say that this reminded him of the tremendous response for 'Oru Thalai Ragam' (1980) for which people waited in ques that stretched for a kilometre. The college students would throng to the theatres everyday and they used to watch the film daily.
He also said it was heartening to see people enjoying a film.
We can be assured that '2.0' will also get a similar response from the audience.
