Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is making history by breaking records nearly every day. The movie became the highest grosser of 2018 with a worldwide collection of Rs. 695 crore, and the third highest grosser of all time in Indian Cinema.
2.0 has now beaten Aamir Khan’s biggest blockbuster Dangal in India, surpassing the collection of Dangal’s Rs. 380 at the domestic box office, inching towards Rs. 400 crore. While the two Baahubali films are ahead of 2.0, Shankar’s movie has managed to smash Baahubali 2’s records in Chennai. While Baahubali 2 had grossed Rs. 18.5 crore, 2.0 managed a collection of Rs. 20 crore.
Whether or not the other records will be broken is yet to be seen, but there are no major movie releases this week, and the release of the movie is happening in China as well.
