2 new COVID-19 cases in Kerala on Saturday

On Saturday, two new COVID-19 cases are reported in Kerala. Announcing the news in a press briefing after a COVID evaluation meeting, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan revealed that one more person had recovered.
The new cases are expats who returned from the gulf region on Thursday as part of the Vande Bharat Mission. They are from Kozhikode and Kochi respectively. There are a total of 23,930 people under observation in the state with 23,596 in houses and 334 in hospitals, the CM added.
As of Saturday, the number of COVID-19 patients under treatment in Kerala stands at 17. Currently, Kerala records 505 COVID-19 cases and 3 casualties.
