The Karnataka chief minister B.S.Yediyurappa has allocated 2 acres of land next to Abhiman Studio on Mysore Road for the memorial of Dr.Vishnuvrdhan. It is at this place the cremation of Dr.Vishnuvardhan is taking place today evening. The chief minister has also announced Rs.10 crore for the memorial of Dr.Vishnuvardhan. The land owner of this place Ganesh will be allocated 2 acres of land by Karnataka Government at some other place.
Ambarish the President of Kannada Cinema Artists Association has taken full control of his best friend Dr.Vishnuvrdhan cremation proceedings. Ambarish former union minister who made debut with Dr.Vishnuvardhan in Nagarahavu has inspected the spot adjacent to Abhiman Studio. It is at this Abhiman Studio Dr Vishnuvardhan made arrangements for the construction of Ganesha temple.
Meanwhile there has been huge turn out for the last look of matinee idol Dr Vishnuvardhan. Two persons committed suicide in Mysore district. One person received police bullet at the National College grounds where the body of Dr.Vishnuvardhan is kept for public viewing. To control the massive turn out the police had to use the rubber bullets in some cases and use the teargas shells.
In the morning the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and his cabinet colleagues visited the residence of Dr.Vishnuvardhan at 4th T block Jayanagar where his body was brought from Mysore and placed for a few hours.
At the National College grounds where the body of Dr.Vishnuvardhan is placed there has been ruckus in around the busy locality of Basavanagudi. It is at this National College Dr Vishnuvardhan completed his graduation. At least 20 persons and a few police personnel were injured in the fans going berserk.
At the National College grounds the Karnataka Governor HR Bharadwaj, Mohan Babu, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Tamil actor Sarath Kumar, Radhika and lot of others paid last respect.
