The performance of Rajinikanth’s ‘2.0’ at the box-office is puzzling trade analysts. After grossing big on Day 1 in India, the movie's collections dropped significantly (by about 30 percent) on Day 2.
Surprisingly, the drop in southern States is bigger than that in North India. (Note: There are various figures that are being trouted. By any version, the collections are not up to the mark in south India).
Given the astronomical costs, the Shankar directorial should collect Rs 650 Cr at the BO.
In the US, however, the sci-fi has picked up momentum. By grossing over 700k dollars on Friday (Day 2), it has pulled off a respectable 1.7 million dollars so far. By the end of the weekend, it could go up to 3 million dollars.
