A 19-year-old college student was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for alleged possession of drugs, which he used to supply to several Bollywood celebrities, among others. The NCB also recovered a cash amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh from him.

The accused, identified as Ayan Sinha, was found to be supplying drugs in various regions in Mumbai, including Bandra, Khangar and Andheri. After the NCB received inputs on the same, the team, led by the zonal director Sameer Wankhede, reportedly conducted a late night raid and found that Ayan had hidden the drugs in his computer's CPU. They managed to seize his mobile phone, computer, electronic gadgets and drugs measuring machine. During interrogation, Ayan revealed the names of the celebrities he had been supplying the drugs to. He also apparently disclosed that he was not running the syndicate alone and that other people were involved.

After being produced in a court, the accused was sent to judicial custody for four days. The NCB has arrested more than 12 people so far in connection with the drug angle in late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide.
