The teaser of Vijay Sethupathi's first Malayalam film '19(1)(A)' has just been released and is grabs attention with its simplistic but intense subject. The Makkal Selvan seems to be in his elements playing the role of a Tamil writer in Kerala who mentors the lead female character played by Nithya Menen.

Directed by Indu VS, '19 (1) (a) also stars Indrajith Sukumaran and Indrans and is produced by director Anto Joseph's production company Anto Joseph Film Company. This is Vijay Sethupathi's second Malayalam film after 'Marconi Matthai' in whih he played a guest role as himself.

The film has been acquired by Disney Plus Hotstar and will stream directly on the OTT platform soon. There is already a huge buzz surrounding it as under the Constitution of
Article 19(1)(a) guarantees to all its citizens the right to freedom of speech and expression.
