170 districts under Red Zone; AP, TS list revealed

The Modi government has on Wednesday identified 170 districts in India as Covid-19 hotspots. These are Red Zones. The authorities will place a very high focus on them until the lockdown is lifted on May 3.

Tamil Nadu has got 22 districts, Maharashtra 14, Uttar Pradesh 13, Rajasthan 12, Andhra Pradesh 11 and Delhi 10 under the Red Zone category.

Further, here is the number of districts under Red Zone.

Telangana: 9

Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka: 8

Kerala: 7

Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana: 6

Assam, Himachal Pradesh: 5

Bihar, West Bengal: 4

White Zone has got 207 districts under it. These are non-hotspot districts.

Green Zone has got 353 districts that are not affected at all by COVID-19.

What about the Telugu States?

Large-breakout districts in Andhra Pradesh (under red zone): Kurnool, Guntur, Nellore, Prakasam, Krishna, Kadapa, West Godavari, Chittoor, Vizag, East Godavari, Anantapur.

Telangana's large-breakout districts (under red zone): Hyderabad, Nizamabad, Warangal Urban, Ranga Reddy, Jogulamba Gadwal, Medchal Malkajgiri, Karimnagar, Nirmal.

Nalgonda is a hotspot clusters district under red zone.
