TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras star Kailia Posey passed away. She was 16 years old, and her mother announced her demise on social media. Her mother stated that she is at a loss for words.

Kailia's mother took to social media and said that her beautiful baby was gone and requested privacy at this time as they mourn their beautiful baby's loss. She posted messages on FaceBook on Monday. The reason behind the death has not been announced yet, but people believe it was due to a car accident.

Her mother, Marcy Posey Gatterman, confirmed her daughter's death on May 2, 2022, in an emotional Facebook post, "... I don’t have words or any thoughts. A beautiful baby girl is gone. Please give us privacy as we mourn the loss of Kailia. My baby forever."It was later confirmed that she took her life by hanging.

"Although she was an accomplished teenager with a bright future ahead of her, unfortunately in one impetuous moment, she made the rash decision to end her earthly life," Kailia's mother's post added. Kailia was best known for appearing on the popular TLC TV series Toddlers & Tiaras, which showcased kids preparing to compete in beauty pageants.

Posey appeared at age 5 on the show in an episode titled “California Tropic Arizona.” She competed in that pageant against two other girls featured on the show in 2012. While it was her only appearance, a cute clip of the 5-year-old scrunching up her neck with a silly smile on her face became a GIF that caught fire on the internet and instantly became popular.
