118 had me in tears during a scene: NTR

NTR was one of the chief guests at the '118' pre-release event. The Young Tiger began his speech by remembering the martyrdom of CRPF jawans in the Pulwama terrorist attack. Besides, he prayed for Kodi Ramakrishna and Vijaya Bapineedu, veterans who breathed their last recently. Everyone stood up for a 2-minute silence in remembrance of the departed souls.

"I have known KV Guhan garu, this film's director. He was the cinematographer of 'Baadshah'. He is a very hard working professional. I remember the days when 'Banthi Poola Janaki' song was shot in biting weather. If the song came out that well, it's only because of his dedication. We actors have the luxury to relax in warm temperature during intervals. Guhan sir worked tirelessly for four days in the inclement weather. I am sure he worked so hard on '118'," NTR said.

"I have watched '118'. Nivetha Thomas' performance in a scene moved me to tears. She is truly one of the best actors in this generation. Keep it going, Nivetha. Shalini Pandey is so dignified opposite annayya (Kalyan Ram)," he added.

"If I speak about producer Mahesh (Koneru), it would be like speaking about myself. I pray to God that his success streak will start with this film," he said.

The actor was all praise for his brother, Kalyan Ram. "Annayya is a very curious person. He always yearns to tell new stories. This is so unique about him. This is his best performance ever. Hats off, Kalyan anna. The success of this movie should encourage you to try many more new things. I thank Babai (Balakrishna) for being here today," NTR signed off.

The film will hit the screens on March 1.
