The world's oldest man as per Guinness World Records, has died due to cancer in Britain at the age of 112, confirmed his family yesterday. Bob Weighton who was a former teacher and engineer from Hampshire, died peacefully in his sleep at his home yesterday morning.
It must be noted that Bob Weighton took over the title of the oldest man in the world only in February 2020 following the death of Chitetsu Watanabe of Japan, who was the previous person to hold the record of oldest living person.
Weighton was born in Yorkshire in northern England on March 29, 1908 and was one of seven children in his family. Weighton has three children, 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, and was recognised as the oldest man in the world after being confirmed by Guinness World Records' senior gerontology consultant, Robert Young.
