In a shocking news, eleven people belonging to a family in Delhi was found hanging dead in their house. Reportedly, ten of them were found hanging from an iron grill on the ceiling. Initial police reports suggest that this bizarre incidence is related to occult practices. 

Hands and feet of the bodies were bound, their eyes covered with a cloth and mouths gagged with tape. Seven of the deceased have been identified as females and two were teenage boys. Narayan Devi who was 77 years old was the oldest in the house and she was found dead on the floor with a noose around her neck.

During the investigation, cops have found written notes which signal spiritual or mystical practices. These notes were found to be corresponding to the way the deceased members’ eyes, mouths were covered. The family was running a grocery business downstairs and on Sunday the shop did not open. 

The local people then found out about the incident and communicated the same to the police. The relatives of the deceased were found to be mourning. The police are awaiting the post mortem reports to ascertain the cause of the deaths.

The hand written notes which were confiscated from the house had the following points-

1.Every member of the family should be blindfolded. They should not be able to see anything except zero.

2.A note which was dated June 26 stated that they had to meet God on June 30.

3. That the act should be carried out between midnight and 1 am.

4.That everybody in the family must be firm and think alike.

5. The grandmother can lie downin the other room as she cannot stand.

6. Dim lights should be used.

7. A cotton scarf or a saree must be used along with the rope.

The deceased are identified as Narayan Devi(77), Bhavnesh (50), Lalit(45), Savita (48), Teena (42), Prathiba(57), Priyanka (33), Nitu (25), Monu (23), Dhruv and Shivam who were 15 years old.

The family also owns a pet dog which was found to be tied on the terrace.

Update: The post mortem reports of the family suggested that the 11 were dead to ligature hanging and that there were no signs of struggle. It is also worth mentioninghere that the family had donated their eyes.

It is also worth adding here that cops are also investigating on the angle of poisoning before death. It was also found that half of the bodies were hanging with their heads tilted up with the remaining heads of the bodies tilted down.

A former servant who worked for the house noted that the family were very religious and head of the house, Bhupi Bhatia would often lose control and utter incomprehensible words.

The daughter Priyanka Bhatia was engaged to be married just 15 days back. The incident is touted to be teh most mysterious crime that the National Capital has ever seen.
