The 10th Bengaluru International Film Festival that has got Rs.10 crores approval from Karnataka government is opening up on 22nd February and conclude on March 1. In 12 divisions 200 plus cinemas are screened at 11 screens of Orion Mall in Rajajinagara and at Karnataka Chalanachitra Kalavidara Sangha Dr Raj Bhavan.
Dr Raj Bhavan was inaugurated on 7th of February by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. On 22nd February in front of Vidhana Soudha Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate and on1st March at Vidhana Soudha Banquet Hall the valedictory will be attended by governor of Karnataka Vajubai Vala.
Among many specials in this 10th BIFFE, Tom Covan cameraman will address on VK Murthy specialty in cinematography, Hindi director Om Prakash Mehra take part in seminar while Stephen Mallik give lecture on Sathyajith Ray. French films director Marc Baset and Mumbai Rahul Purimuktha are speaking on independence.
Among 11 plus one screens in this Biffe, one screen is meant for legislators. The registration for participation has started at Nandini Layout Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy office, Infantry Road Information department office, KFCC, Suchitra Film Society. It is Rs.600 for general and Rs.300 for students, film society members and senior citizens.
