Earlier this week, we were witness to a 100-year-old Assamese woman recovering from COVID-19. She hadn't developed major complications and got treated in 10 days. The doctors successfully treated her despite her having hypertension. In Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram, an 87-year-old woman recovered from the virus.

A similar success story has been witnessed in Hyderabad. Paruchuri Ramaswamy, a 103-year-old man, has defeated the infection. He was treated at the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS), Hyderabad.

It's reported that Paruchuri was one of the 27 members of an old-age home who got infected with COVID-19. Twenty-five of them have successfully got recovered. Two of them couldn't survive the virus.

Dr K Narayana, the President of the CR Foundation, has lauded the services of the health department as well as the KCR government in this regard. The old-age home has been run by the CR Foundation.
