1000 kgs dog meat ceased in Chennai - Supply to restaurants?
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
There was a large consignment of meat from Jodhpur to Chennai in train that came from there and on closer inspection, the railway police at the Egmore station were shocked to discover that it was dog meat. It has long been rumoured that some restaurants in Chennai are providing contaminated meat and also mix dog and cat meat with mutton and beef and serve their customers.
Usually, the Chennai residents are known to consume chicken, mutton and beef and cops feel that there is no way for 1000 kgs of dog meat consigned to the city other than for such shady restaurants to cheat their customers. A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
