100 IAS trainees contract COVID-19 in Mussoorie?

On Saturday, it was officially confirmed that 57 IAS trainee officers at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie in Uttarakhand had tested positive for coronavirus. As per a senior journalist, the number has now risen to 100.

"Many among them are IAS probationers of 2020 batch. Everyone is asked to be inside rooms for 14 days. Food delivered by men in PPE suits. Canteen shut. Classroom shut," tweeted Shanthanu Sharma of ET.

As many as 428 officers have been undergoing training since October 13 at the famous academy. Besides IAS trainees, there are also IFS, IPS and IFoS trainees present there.

After 57 tested positive last week, it was decided that online classes would be held till November 30.
