Tamil film industry has given a lot of female characters that stand the test of time. We've seen cute and bubbly characters, glamorous and hot ones, fierce and independent modern ones, violent and scheming ones, shy and fragile ones and a lot of varieties. Here's are some interesting characters Tamil cinema has produced over the years, that men would instantly fall for.

Yamini:

Richa Gangopadhyay's Yamini in Selvaraghavan's Mayakkam Enna is someone any guy would fall for. Despite the eccentric nature of her husband Karthik(Dhanush), his violent reflection of the betrayal and failure on her, that gives her an irreparable loss, Yamini prefers to stay by his side, and watches him succeed, with pride beaming on her face. Even when a friend makes advances to her sensing the tension in her relationship with Karthik, and neighbors speak ill, Yamini shuts them down defending Karthik.

Hasini:

The cute antics, the bubbly and jovial character, the playfulness of a child that could brighten up anyone's day - Hasini was that full of life, full of energy pretty girl. Played beautifully by Genelia, Raja's screenplay had enough mesmerizing and cute moments for her, right from the first instance she says Muttuna kombu molaikkum, the way she calls herself Ha ha Hasini, the cute ice cream night out where she offers to drop Santhosh, and many such moments and she defined the happiness Santhosh always wanted in his life.

Manimegalai:

Anjali's Manimegalai in M.Saravanan's Engeyum Eppothum is a perfect example of a bold girl who can be an apt life partner. Perfectly complementing the shy Kathiresan (Jai), she takes decisions even for him (making him even donate his organs), and being right decisions, Kathiresan could do nothing more than nodding in agreement, and falling for her, awestruck by her boldness.

Keerthana:

Nazriya Nazim's Keerthana in Raja Rani, was a good mix of cuteness and love and the way she graduates from calling him Brother to falling in love with the charmer John, Nazriya exuded cuteness in every frame that made men fall for her instantly, just as John did.

Mithra:

Theri's Mithra was everything that men would crave for - full of love on Vijay till she breathes her last, her cute moments with Vijay as she watches him shedding tears of joy, after hearing his mother's approval, the way she instantly connects to him and falls in love, are some glimpses of Mithra that would make her the ideal girl men would fall in love.

Chandrika:

Shakthi:
